Official Partner & Operator of the 2026 Autonomous Driving Hackathon (AMET)

The 2026 Autonomous Driving Hackathon (AMET 2026) — hosted and organized by the Korea Autonomous Driving Industry Association and sponsored by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy — was held August 25–27 at COEX Hall B during the 2026 Autonomous Mobility Expo (AME 2026). AICASTLE participated as an official partner alongside Hyundai Mobis and HL Klemove, operating the competition end to end.

Thirty-five university teams from across the country competed in an overnight hackathon format. Teams ran PHYSICAR AI-based autonomous vehicles on a 12m×7m track with missions including obstacles and traffic lights, progressing through an online orientation, preliminary practice, and overnight intensive development to the finals on the last day. The grand-prize team received the MOTIE Minister’s Award along with prize money.

Designed as an employment-linked competition, the event was recognized for discovering and nurturing future autonomous driving talent and for providing a venue where students and companies connect.
