Autonomous Driving Competition for Ajou University's 'Autonomous Driving & C-ITS' Course

Commissioned by Ajou University’s Future Mobility innovative convergence consortium, AICASTLE operated an autonomous driving competition for students of the “Autonomous Driving & C-ITS” course. The program consisted of a first training session (online simulation) on May 1 and a second session plus finals on May 8 at the Innovation Sharing Lounge in Yulgok Hall, with about 40 transportation systems engineering students participating in 12 teams.

Considering that the students were studying C-ITS (Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems) rather than programming, the curriculum was designed on PHYSICAR SIM as a hands-on experience that even coding beginners could complete. Students trained autonomous driving models in the simulator and then took on the track with real vehicles, experiencing autonomous driving technology first-hand.

The program received highly positive feedback from participating students, and observers from the consortium also expressed strong satisfaction — confirming the maturity of AICASTLE’s autonomous driving education program.
