2025 Future Vehicle AWS DeepRacer Championship League & AI Education
AICASTLE operated the 2025 Future Vehicle AWS DeepRacer Championship League, organized by Inha University’s Future Vehicle Consortium. Thirteen teams participated in the league, progressing through basic training (January 26–27), advanced training (February 9–10), and practice runs (February 11–12) to the final competition on February 13 at Wolcheon Hall in Inha University’s 60th Anniversary Hall.
The entire program — both education and competition — ran on PHYSICAR AI, AICASTLE’s self-developed platform, using its simulation (SIM) and real-vehicle (REAL) environments. Students learned reinforcement learning theory and reward function design, then deployed simulator-trained autonomous driving models to real vehicles to compete on the track.
Earlier, as part of the winter-semester capstone design convergence project, AICASTLE also ran a ROS-based autonomous driving mini competition: students trained on WeBOT 2.0 and LIMO Pro scale cars through online and offline sessions in December, then competed in a mission-driving event on January 16 at the Songdo Future Vehicle Convergence Education Center track.
