Course Overview
- AWS DeepRacer is a service that trains autonomous driving models based on reinforcement learning.
- Students can develop their own self-driving model and load it onto a 1/18-scale vehicle for hands-on practice.
- Through this course, students will learn about AI, reinforcement learning, autonomous driving, and Python programming in a fun and engaging way.

Target Audience
- Open to anyone (no prior knowledge required)
- Although Python programming is included in the lecture, the basics of Python syntax are covered in the course, so no prior Python knowledge is necessary.
Requirements
- Student: Personal laptop
- Institution: Classroom (with internet access, HDMI, projector)
- All other equipment (vehicles, track, fences, AWS account setup, power strips, etc.) will be provided and prepared by AI Castle.
Understanding the Practical Steps
- The DeepRacer hands-on process is divided into two main stages: simulation (Stage 1) and physical vehicle (Stage 2).
- Stage 1 (Simulation): Train the model using the reward function code that students create in a virtual environment.
- Stage 2 (Physical Vehicle): Load the trained model onto a real vehicle and test its autonomous driving capabilities.
