Keimyung University Lecture

From August 28 to August 30, Keimyung University’s Seongseo Campus hosted a three-day special lecture titled “Learning AI and Autonomous Driving with AWS DeepRacer.” This lecture series was planned to equip students with foundational knowledge and applications of AI and autonomous driving, reflecting the latest technology trends.

The lecture began by covering the theoretical background of AI. Topics included AI’s core principles, learning methods, and various applications in modern society. Emphasis was placed on clarifying abstract concepts related to how AI learns.

Following these theoretical sessions, students participated in hands-on workshops using AWS DeepRacer, a miniature version of a self-driving car that allows users to code and test autonomous driving algorithms in a practical environment. Through these exercises, students directly applied what they had learned, confronting diverse challenges and learning problem-solving methods in real-time.

This course provided students with an in-depth understanding of AI and autonomous driving, along with practical coding experience, thereby enhancing their ability to adapt to future technological trends. Such educational initiatives at Keimyung University are expected to significantly contribute to students’ preparedness for rapidly evolving technological environments.
